What is Minecraft?
Minecraft is a “sandbox” style video game developed by Mojang Studios and owned by Microsoft. "Sandbox" means that the game is entirely open and players can choose to do anything with their time such as place blocks or go on adventures. This includes anything from crafting simple items to building structures like houses, castles, and cities, or even making complex mechanical-devices. Minecraft is used extensively in education and helps build future-ready skills like creativity, problem solving, systems thinking, and nurtures a passion for play.
What do I need to play?
Anyone who wants to play Minecraft must have a purchased copy of the Minecraft game and a Minecraft account. If you are playing on a console you will also need an account for that console (for example, Nintendo, Xbox, etc.)

When can I play?
The server is available to play on 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You can login from home or the library from any device that supports Minecraft (Xbox, computer, Nintendo switch, etc.)
Who else plays?
The purpose of the server is to provide a safe, moderated, private (as opposed to publicly accessible) environment for kids, families, and the PVPL community to connect to. They can play in multiple modes (creative, adventure, or survival) and there are a variety of minigames and modifications on the server to add extra layers of protection and increased enjoyment of the game.
Who can I contact if there's an issue or bug?
If you encounter a bug in the game, need to report bad behavior, or have any other issues related to the game email youthservices@prescottvalley-az.gov. If you are in-game and an admin is online you can use the /msg command to send a private message and request help. For example: /msg [username]
*Disclaimer: Although the server admins constantly monitor the server and have multiple methods of moderating online behavior and who is able to enter, adults are ultimately responsible for being aware of their child's interactions and behavior online.
