library reopening guidelines

The Library will be closed Tuesday, May 26th in honor of Memorial Day and will reopen Wednesday, May 27th at 9am.

Beginning May 6th, the Library will be open to the public Tuesday - Saturday from  9AM - 5PM, under the following conditions with no exceptions:

  • Only 60 patrons are permitted in the building at a time to support social distancing guidelines. 

    • We encourage the use of masks and gloves to help curb the spread of Covid-19.

  • Please see the Information Desk for a computer as there will only be a limited number of computers available. 

    • Staff will only be able to provide limited computer help in order to ensure physical distancing.​

  • Floors will be marked in public service areas to help patrons maintain safe distances.

  • All individuals under 10 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • All meeting room use and reservations will not be available at this time.

  • There will be no programming or gatherings of more than 10 people in one area.

    • Campsites on the 2nd floor, the Digital Media Lab, Teen Art Room, and Game Room will be closed.

  • Please take advantage of our e-services, virtual programming, and drive-up services at this time.​

  • If you do not need to come into the building, continue using the drive-thru window! However, since people will now pick up some holds inside the building, please change your holds pick-up location to  “Prescott Valley Public Library Drive Up Window.” We can help you do this, or do this for you.  Please call (928-759-3040) or email (askalibrarian@pvaz.net) for help.

  • We will continue our 3 day quarantine procedures. 

  • We are not currently accepting donations.
